⚙️ SolumTools — Processing Pipeline (Canonical)

SolumTools operates through a strict, deterministic processing pipeline.

This pipeline defines how data flows, how it is transformed, and why outputs are trustworthy.

There is no inference, no intent interpretation, and no hidden state.

🧭 Purpose

The Processing Pipeline ensures that:

  • Every output is traceable to a validated input
  • Every transformation is explicit
  • Every step can be audited independently
  • No step can be skipped or reordered

SolumTools does not “understand”. It processes.

🧱 Pipeline Overview

The pipeline is linear and ordered:

INPUT_CONTRACT ↓ STRUCTURAL VALIDATION ↓ NORMALIZATION ↓ RESOLUTION ↓ PROJECTION ↓ OUTPUT_SCHEMA

Each stage has a single responsibility.

1️⃣ Structural Validation

Goal: Ensure the input matches a known contract.

  • Schema validation
  • Type validation
  • Required fields enforcement
  • Rejection of unknown fields

If validation fails:

  • Processing stops
  • No partial state is produced

No correction is attempted.

2️⃣ Normalization

Goal: Convert valid inputs into a canonical internal form.

Actions:

  • Normalize numeric units
  • Canonicalize identifiers
  • Resolve ordering where applicable
  • Remove redundant representations

Normalization does not add information. It only removes ambiguity.

3️⃣ Resolution

Goal: Resolve references using explicit rules.

Examples:

  • Wallet → ownership resolution
  • Tile → spatial index resolution
  • Timestamp → epoch alignment

Resolution:

  • Uses only declared data
  • Never queries external state implicitly
  • Produces explicit resolution artifacts

If resolution fails:

  • Processing stops
  • No output is generated

4️⃣ Projection

Goal: Transform resolved data into view-specific representations.

Projection:

  • Is read-only
  • Has no side effects
  • Does not modify underlying state

Multiple projections may exist for the same resolved state.

5️⃣ Output Emission

Goal: Produce a final, schema-valid output.

  • Output must match exactly one OUTPUT_SCHEMA
  • Output contains no implicit assumptions
  • Output is deterministic given the same input

Outputs are:

  • reproducible
  • comparable
  • cacheable
  • auditable

🚫 Explicit Non-Goals

SolumTools does NOT:

  • Infer intent
  • Predict behavior
  • Modify state autonomously
  • Perform probabilistic reasoning
  • Merge unrelated inputs
  • Fix malformed data

🔍 Auditability Guarantees

For any output, it must be possible to answer:

  • Which input contract produced this?
  • Which pipeline stages were applied?
  • Which rules were used?
  • What intermediate representations existed?

If this cannot be answered, the pipeline is broken.

🤖 AI Compatibility

This pipeline is intentionally designed to be:

  • Easily parsed by LLMs
  • Safe for deterministic replay
  • Resistant to hallucination
  • Explicit in every transformation

AI systems interacting with SolumTools must:

  • Respect pipeline order
  • Never bypass validation
  • Never invent missing data

📌 Canonical Rule

If a transformation is not described here, it does not exist.

This pipeline is the single source of truth for data processing in SolumTools.
